Yorkshire Television

Yorkshire's Y chevron.

Finally we move north, this time to Yorkshire, home of Yorkshire Television.

It often looks, to the casual observer that Yorkshire is desperately trying to emulate BBC1. Indeed, Yorkshire copied the format of BBC1's Watchdog and got Judy Finnagen to present it. They also saw the old rotating globe logo and decided they wanted a rotating logo. So they rotated their strange Y. Apparently there used to be a rotating Y outside their studios in Leeds. And whilst Tyne Tees was Channel 3 North East, Yorkshire had a Y which rotated to become a 3 whilst rotating back to a Y again. Freaky.
